$160 per person.* Twelve and under are 10% off. Lunch included.

*We have a 4 person minimum to run a trip. Up to 8 people will fit in one boat. Parties under 8 may be combined to fill one boat.

Where to meet

Arrive at the boathouse at 9:15 for a 9:30am departure. We'll be returning back to the boathouse around 4:30pm.

What to bring

  • Water shoes or sandals
  • Clothing: swim suit, sun shirt, quick dry pants for sun protection, rain jacket, fleece or sweatshirt
  • Accessories: tight fitting hat, sunglasses and chums (straps), sunscreen, water bottle with clip

Meet Jim

Jim Hulihan carries on a Salmon River photography tradition that began with his family in the 1980s. After moving to Shoup in 2013, he helped transition the operation to digital and has been running it independently since 2020.


Using high-speed burst photography, Jim captures the peak action in every rapid, delivering a full collection of moments from your trip.

(Payment can be made after your trip once you’re back in service)

Jim meets your group early in the trip during the gold mine stop. At that point, you can let him know if you’d like photos taken as you head into the rapids.
